
STORY: Saint Isaac Jogues, originally from France, is one of the Jesuit martyrs of North America. To reach the mission, he had to travel 800 miles across Canada. He ministered to the Huron people in “New France”, learning their language and working alongside them. For this, was captured, tortured and killed by the opposing Iroquois tribe.
