
STORY: Charles, a young count in Milan, had an uncle who was pope – Pope Pius IV. He was called to Rome and given leadership positions. He earned doctorates in civil and canon law. He felt called to become a priest and to help reform the Church. He built universities, supported and educated priests, fought heresies, renovated Churches and preached against sinful living. He was ordained and Archbishop and is considered a great reformer of the Church.
